Lookin for a new radio... suggestions please

Afternoon, DTR.

My 6 CD changer is finally taking a poo on me, so I'm in the market for a new radio. Not looking for anything crazy, single CD and aux port would be great. I may add a sub in the back in the future, so something that is compatible with that would help also.

I'm not an audio genius, so be gentle

TIA!!!

Not looking to spend 500 bucks, but I'll spend 250 or so. What should my budget be?

What I'm saying is... I'm cheap, not broke.

You beat me to it! My wife has the Kenwood Excelon KDC X995 in her vehicle and is very happy with it. Gotta keep the wife happy!

I have the KDC-X994 in my truck and have Kenwood systems in two 1965 Mustangs. I believe Kenwood provides the best bang for the buck.

madhat, dont know if it will work, but I still have my factory original single disk cd/radio w/aux port. It's an '06, so I don't know if it would work/fit on your truck, but it's your's if you want it--as in take it off my hands!(your's plus shipping). Traded out the factory stuff years ago, but kept all the original stuff up in the attic!

Chris,
Thanks, brother, but I'm gonna buy new so I have a warranty. I only want to do this once, know what I mean?

I bet if you put it in the classifieds, it'd move...

I really do appreciate it, don't get the wrong idea. Very nice of ya! On the flip side, if I can do anything for you, let me know.

I'll sell you my low mileage 6-disc head unit that WILL work in your truck for $499.00 and I'll even give you a 3 day warranty.

(Shipping will likely take 4 days )

I actually know what you are talking about, and have actually handled real 8 tracks when I was a young kid...

A new one is like $1000 at the dealership. This is a bargain!!!!

Of course I was just kidding about the price too. I DO have one in a box but it's not for sale. I'm thinking about pulling the RB1 out of my truck and selling it and then reinstalling the 6-disc changer...

If there was a good way to hook up an Ipod to an 03 6 disk I would be happy, but there isn't. Stuck in the stone age.
