Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

If that's your rover in the back ground then you'll be taking a big step towards reliability and mpgs ;-)

HAHA! This is very true. Land Rover's/Range Rover's are junk, which is a shame because they could be great. Well, I should qualify that. NEWER LR's/RR's are junk. The older ones were stout! IMHO Toyota Land Cruiser's wipe the face of the LR's.

Oh, and that is one fantastic looking truck. I'd do it if I had the $$$. I'm not familiar with the older trucks, (pre-Cummins) but lordy, the styling is awesome! It looks like a real truck, unlike some of the later versions....

As the former owner of a 73 FJ40 LC and the current owner of a 95 RR Classic, I couldn't agree more.... The RR cost around 55k new (Brooklands edition) and I got it for 2500 in 2006, that is quite the depreciation, . I use it as my around town car.Anyone considering dropping 80k on a new one might want to check resell value, I wish I hadn't sold the cruiser ...Mark

I know where there is a 79 D350 regular cab 4 speed 4x4. The body is in great shape and interior near perfect. Would be a great truck for a transplant.

Ok, I was wrong. The door jamb tag says W30. It has Power Wagon emblems on the side.

You mid and western guys hav eit made. You never see trucks that age around here unless you follow the rust trail. Awesome trucks. I love mid/late 70's. Plain and simple.

Oooooooohhhhh!!!! I want one ov those grills! That's the solution to the headlight brightness 'thing'; just put in two( per side ) of the high/low lights and run all four. Will that grill fit a 1990?
cheers,
Douglas

I'm sure that if it doesn't snug right up you could make it work Douglas.

That truck is a thing of beauty isn't it?

It would take the right tools. Let me see...hammer, bigger hammer, and 9 lb. hand-sledge. Looks like I have it covered...

On the serious side, it looks like the rad-support would need to come along; the grill is only a cover and the headlight sockets are mounted to hard parts. More to look for when I can find an appropriate salvage yard.
cheers,
Douglas
