I personally can tell very little difference from a tip alone. You plan on sliding it over the stock exhaust the same amount anyways, so length shouldn't matter? Correct me if I'm wrong, please!

just a heads up, if you push that tip to the outside edge of your rear tire, it will help with keeping the droan from inside your cab, gets the sound out from under your truck, and keeps it from gettin in so bad.I ran a string line from front tire to rear tire, across the sidewalls and pulled the tip to eve with this line, marked the location, and cut the xtra off of the magnaflow , then slid the tip back on and tightened the retaining bolt. Silverline tip, ebay as well. pics in gallery

I got a slightly used MBRP 304ss 4"x6"x36" angle cut exhaust stack off Ebay. I will get it put on this week and get some pic's up. It should come out right at the corner of my rear bumper.

Diesel's are different than gasoline engines. While on a gasoline, putting exhaust with echo tips does affect the sound , it is not the same on diesels. I asked that exact question when I bought my muffler and tip. On diesel's the tip does not affect the sound at all. The tip is just for looks.

Duddin10, I have to disagree with you. As was stated above, with a larger tip you are adding a "megaphone" and it most definitely changes the sound. Just like putting a cone or megaphone to the mouth.
