Long-Travel Suspensions
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone in the aftermarket makes a long travel lift for the 3rd gen trucks. I am talking about something like the Dick Cepek lift. If not how hard do you think it would be to take something from Skyjacker or Superlift and make your own long travel arms? Thanks for any input. Have a good Sunday afternoon watching football.

Right now the only true long arm I know of is Full Throttle, and that is on thier 10" kit. Superlift and Skyjacker both have 8" kits coming in the near future, but I don't know if they will feature long arms or not.

Would someone explain the difference between a long arm and short arm lift. I'm guessing my skyjacker lift is the short arm kit because it's only 4.5" (01 dodge) and the arms are shorter than factory but what's the benefit of having the long arms over the short ones.

Notice how your skyjacker arms are at an extreme angle,
(especially the lower one)
long arms, since they mount further back on the frame,
have less angle so a smoother ride, and more suspension travel.
