I put the old girl in the back yard and replaced her with a 91 Ford escort minus rocker panels for five hundred bucks. The Ford is going to get beat to death but the old girl is going to go thru about fifteen thousand dollars worth of customising( over three years) I'm not rich, but I am union. I plan, God willin, to travel in a 32 foot fifth wheel 300 miles average a week until my end times, and my beautiful partner wants to go quicker than I. I can fix trucks and she is a hairdresser. Fix your truck and she'll color your hair,at the same time. Thats how we will earn side cash. Here we go for the good stuff. Please pipe in any time, suggestions is what I'm lookin for. I will be carrying about a ton worth of tools, compressor, generator, in a B&W low bed and towing, I would like get it rated at 15,000 lbs. Dana 80 dual wheel possitrac in the rear, 4.10 gears, don't know about springs yet. The engine will remain stock, but a new injector pump (215 hp) and injectors, Dv's, etc. Turbo charger, intake manifold, intercooler,I'm taking suggestions. Definately a Goerand transmission. Tire size, need help there. Front end remains stock because I can fix it easily. Moog may not be the best but my whole front end is free now. I'll post pictures on each step. Bed comes off before winter, sandblast frame, fuel lines,and a good coat of POR15. Right now we are looking for a Dana 80 housing in any condition (rebuildable) with wheel adapters and two front doors, anywhere close to N.H. Lookin forward to the replys, you guys are certainly an inspiration.
