what size exhaust system do you have? I have a downpipe I could hook you up with if it fits. It is off a silverline system and swells open to 5" and is stainless.

It will be OK to drive but make a big mess. I also have a stocker here that should bolt right in. It is on a truck that is getting twins built, but i can get it off later today for you if you would like.

I would think driving on that would not only make a huge mess as already stated but pose a risk of getting exhaust in the cab.
I would take lloyd up on his generous offer, or try to find a new elbow locally. Its not worth the risk.

I had a similar issue, when I installing my exhaust temp probe in the elbow. I drove the truck for a week before I realized what had happened (didn't get the clamp on right).
I only had a small amount of soot around the opening and on the firewall, and we didn't notice any exhaust fumes in the cab. I'm sensitive to the smell so I would have noticed it immediately.
