Lock-up

I just wanted to post on here about how I & Jeff Garmon, mostly Jeff solved a problem that has plaqued me for years & I know others too. My truck kept jumping in & out o Lock-Up. Jeff suggested a loose alternator wire or negative/ground problem. We tightened up my negative cables because even after putting on a new TPS not long ago, this didn't help. So, I kept my negative cables just loose enough I could wiggle them free & do the APPS reset . Sometimes that helped for a little while, sometimes, no change. Jeff was right on. While he was tightening my negative cables I was feeling around behind the alternator & guess what I found, a loose wire. You know what else? It runs over to the TPS. Jeff tightened it up & problem solved. I can't believe something so simple has plaqued me so long. If you guys want a jam up Diesel genious to help you, call Jeff in McDonough,GA. He is the man around these parts.
