lock up switch installed!

All I can say is wow! me and my buddy went out to a closed track to test. I mounted the switch like the older trucks had there dimmer switch at on the floor board, so I built about 15lbs of boost and slammed down on it and then I would try to hit the switch but the first time i missed and the truck launched like it would usually do and my buddy nearly **** his pants! so the next time I built about 17lbs of boost and hit the switch right off the line and I nearly **** my pants! I have never been in a truck that launched off the line that hard before! sorry for the long post but I want to thank all that has help me on this site becuase it was worth it! So now what do I need to make this thing fly. 66 turbo, 180hp sticks, studs, and a pump?

Man, be careful on those boosted launches... look at the bottom of my sig, that did it for me...

That lock up switch makes that tranny feel like a stick with a stiff clutch, huh? When I got my co-pilot to work, I almost did it in my pants!

I would guess "full billet HTS race trans with a 91% suncoast converter" has something to do with it.

I know when I used to race a 12 valve that I had, I had big traction problems in 4x4. Locking the converter on the launch would have just blown the the tires off. Just add more power, and don't worry about locking up the converter at launch.

I hear ya, Dusty told me that if anything breaks just send it back or get a state tranny mechanic to fix it and he will cover the cost under just about any circumstances, I used a 33 ohm resister inline with the ground and I have no codes so far

what lines did you tap into? They are on the driver's side of the engine block, correct? What numbers?

04.5, and 05's, it is the #25 port you tap into. The wire will be yellow with a light blue stripe, and the plug is marked externally with the numbers. Very easy to find the right one..

be careful with the lock up, i blew my TC apart with the lockup switch. Then again i was on juice when i locked it up.

i know you are supposed to lock it up when it hits second, but what about when you are spraying nitrous off the line? ever since i blew up my TC im afraid to spray again. Should i just not use the lockup when spraying? or is it usually ok to lockup under NO2?
