You can burn CD's to your hard drive, or power up and control an Ipod from the top glove box.

If you don't have an Ipod, don't buy one as you don't need one. You can download your music to your computer then just load it onto a USB memory stick. These have become cheap and you could probably get every song you could want onto one. From here you can load them onto your onboard hard drive or/and keep them on the stick for back up or to just play from the stick.

How do you play music directly from the USB stick? I have copied music from a USB stick to the HDD, but didn't realize it could be played directly.

take the truck in when you have a chance and have them reflash the entertainment system. I have a new (less than a year old) nano and mine works fine. every once in a while i get a message but if I unplug it and plug back in, things are fine.

Yea yea yea, I'll go first but I'm going to wait till I have 2 or 3 things that need fixed or checked and get em all done at once, too much hassle to go in for something that little. I'm still mad at it anyway and only have driven it in and out of the garage twice to get the mower out since March 13th when I got back from my Florida trip, that 8.5 mpg really ticked me off [verymad][verymad][verymad] [tapdshut][tapdshut][tapdshut] and some more [tapdshut][tapdshut][tapdshut] LOL I got an XBox toaster right before I left and that 34 mpg is hard to get out of unless I really need to drive the truck.

Just to bring this up to the top again, was playing with my new nano trying to get it to work and kept getting that error message like before. Got on the internet and googled the problem, according to some other forums Chrysler is working with Apple to fix this problem suppose to have a fix out in a month, lets see if that happens. But like I said before I can use my nano and it works great plugged in the face of the radio with the RCA type plug if thats what you call em, but I like things to work like their suppose to and would just like the usb plug in the glove box to work with my ipod.

I believe that's the same size as a headphone jack. I think it has an extra ring or 2 on it.
Ya gotta control the music with the Ipod. The other connection (once you get it working) will control it all from the radio controls.
You can download an update here (http://mofv.com/mygig/). Not sure if it fixes the Nano issue but it refers to an Iphone disconnect issue. My Ipod Mini works fine. [coffee]

Thats a nice web-site but not much there for my 2011 RHB radio, maybe give it some time and they will have some more for me.
One real nice thing on there was the pictures of how and what will show up on the screen of your radio when you do updates, when your half way computer stupid like me that makes it nice to know what to expect. [dummy]

I was hoping to find the NAV maps somehwere (For FREE) but haven't so far. I wonder if the dealers would update the maps through the warranty?
Anyway I may try running that update.....just not sure if I wanna chance bricking my radio if it were to fail on me.[redface]

Where you get that coard? I am getting tired of switching CD's that I burned, Can only get about 8/10 songs per CD Not a big fan of having to look at the I/Pod but till they fix it and I can stick it back in the glove box I guess this will have to do.

Sirius and XMradio are having the same radio channel line-ups. Make it easier to drop XMradio and just use Sirius. I have one vehicle that uses XMradio and three with sirius. I have to have memeberships (admin charges) for both XM and sirius, over and above the cost of each vehicle.

I can play music off my USB hard drive. I've downloaded 10 meg into my radio. Worked pretty decently, just has a darn slow transfer rate. Took me a 10 hr drive to download everything. You can't go over 10 meg, as then you have to re-format the radio hard drive and start over the down load[dummy]

Huh???
You can't load more than 10 meg on a 40 meg hard drive?

Oh Ok.
That would explain the 10meg limit.
I know we both said meg earlier but it's actually 10 gig though isn't it?
Mines 40 gig.
