Line-X rocker panels?
i was wondering from the guys that have had thier rockers line-xed how they liked it and if it chipped from the rock being flung up or a pain to keep clean? and if you had some pics i would love to see the way it looks. have been debating doing it.

Line-X has a new product called XTRA that is guaranteed to stay GLOSSY and not fade for life. It can be color coded to your paint too. I am toying with the idea of having my rocker panels done. Anyone have any experience that that stuff?

I got a quote from the local Line-X dealer for $1100 ! Most of that price is the labor because of all the prep work that needs to be done. I think when the time comes I'm going with Superliner. It has the same warranty and they just mix in the paint color you want, and heres the kicker it's $400 cheaper.

i got mine line-x for $500 even. The only prep work that was hard was taping it off. Then you just sand it and spray it. I dont let anyone do work on my truck with out me standing over their shoulder watching. I love it, it looks good, and keeps those rocks at bay. I dont have pics loaded up on the cpu yet. I will try to get them done in the next day or so.

I have the glossy coating on my lineX in my bed, it looks awsome, always nice and shiny. I had one linex place quote me 1100 for the rocker panels, the place that sprayed my bed and VT series tailgate said they would do the rockers for 500.

I had my truck line-xd rocker panels and inside door sills. Great job 375$. No cracks or chips and even did around the wheel wells so the MTs don't hit the paint with rocks.

I had mine done in Jan.07. I have had to have most of it resprayed, due to it peeling off. They pulled on it and it came off easily. It was not prepped right.
And i was told at time of sell it, was a lifetime warranty, but this is not true for anything other than a bedliner. I am going in tomorrow to have more of it removed and resprayed. Prob worst decision I have ever made on any truck i have owned.

Twodiesels,
Was it line-X? They must have REALLY screwed up that application. I've seen somone try to take out their line-x and decided it was easier to by a new bed.
