lil power story
I was at my local Pondarosa tonight and I seen my buddy and about four other farmer looking guys standing around my buddys old S-10. I pulled up right behind the S-10 and they came around the truck and started to talk about how Cummins is horrible and that my diesel engine can't pull crap. My buddy said his S-10 could pull more than my truck and the four farmer guys all agreed. So I pulled up real close to the back of the S-10 and when I gentley made contact I floored it and pushed his truck, in park, across the whole lot. I hit 40 mph on the way across. Then I circled back around to where they were still standing in awe and said, "that + 25 mpg", then I left.

Awesome man. I had an idiot the other night yell at me that my truck sucked. Now I don't think my truck is the fastest thing around. It pulls like a tractor (hence its name) but when you're driving a 97' or so Ford F150 2x4 with the smallest V8 available at the time, and you tell me that a CTD sucks? I have to wonder where you're head is at...

HAHAHAHA! always wanted to push or haul somethin with a logging chain like that! I've owned a 4.3L S10 and it's got plenty of power for a 1,500 lb truck that never hauls anything, not sure how they were trying to compare that to a cummins...I mean, the 1st gens are the ones that started the dodge diesel reputation in the first place!
I was stopped at a truck stop with 12k lbs hooked up to my GN, a big rig driver stopped by to talk for a minute, "looks like a bit much for the weight of your truck but I bet that Cummins doesn't even care"...yeah, these things must be low on power if guys that drive tractor-trailers for a living have respect for 'em!
