Lift won't work on a "Off-Road" 2500/3500?
I was looking at the suspensionconnection.com website. They have a 5" EZ-Ride lift kit on there for like $700 minus shocks. It says the kit won't work with any "Off-Road" packaged trucks because the package came with like a 2" lift from factory. That if you put their lift kit on you'd end up with 7"'s of lift in the front instead of 5" and that the control arms in the kit wouldn't reach/fit. The tech service line said that if you're truck has the factory lift it'll say "Off-Road" some where on the truck. I thought that was only on 1500's? I can't remember ever seeing one on a diesel 2500 or 3500. I don't have the original bed that was on the truck. Anyone know how I could tell between the two factory ride hieghts of which I may have? The truck has about a 5" lift block in the back already which I'm sure is factory. But the front end sits no higher than any other 3500 I know of. ???

I agreee, from what I've seen - I've never seen a 2500 or 3500 that said (anywhere on it) "Off Road". I didn't know that they made the. I know they made a "HD", at least in the late 90's early 00's, but never heard of the "Off Road". My buddy has an '03 1500 gasser that is an Off Road. I'd call you local dealership, ask them the question and then give them your VIN and they can check all the info on your truck.

I just looked at that kit....don't worry about the disclaimer about the off road package. This lift is the exact same kit as the 1500. It uses coil spacers instead of new coils. It won't work with the Off Road package because the Off Road has taller coils and probably a taller rear block. IMO, running a coil spacer over 2-3" is asking for problems.
My $.02, save your money and buy a Skyjacker kit, it comes with replacement coils.

Yeah... I'm thinking I should stick with skyjacker also. Twice the money though. But I'm thinking it'd be worth it. Thanks everyone.

I believe there was 2500 offroad packages. But I think it was only available with the V8 or V10 gas engines

I just replied to another member who's looking at the same TC kit....Skyjacker Class 1 standard is only $950 with new coils and control arms......worth the extra $$ IMO.
