Lift/Towing

I just bought a aluminum 36' race car trailer(7000lbs loaded) and I need to change some stuff to tow properly with it. I'm too close between the trailer and the tops of my box sides. I'm going to lift the trailer up 1.5" but I will need to drop the truck a bit to make it all work. I have a 3" block in the rear but still have the 1.5" rear block that came with the Fabtech kit. My other option is to pull off the 4.5" Fabtech and put on a entry level KORE kit? But I think my tires will be too big with the wheels I run?

I'd try lifting the trailer first and see how it goes.

I'm going to lift the trailer a bit but I can't go too much or else I can't get my race car loaded

How are the springs mounted on the axle of the trailer? If it's a SPUA (SPrings Under Axle), do an "axle flip" and mount it SPOA (SPrings Under Axle). That's what several people with lifted trucks here in SoCal have done to their Weekend Warriors, GearBox, Carlson and other toybox trailers. It should give you anywhere from 3 to 5 inches of trailer lift; all depending on the size of axle tubing and such.

I can't lift my trailer because I won't be able to get my race car loaded up. It only has 2" clearence between the oil pan and ground

Can you run it up on 2x4's or do you have an additional flip down ramp attached to the door/ramp?

That's what I was thinking......Maybe some an additional longer ramp (one for each side) to lessen the sharp angles of the heightened main ramp.

Yes I just ordered a set of 70" flip style ramps and a 3 1/2" riser for the rubber bumpers on the door to space it up from the ground to get a better loading angle
