lift pump failing?

i think i might have a problem here. my truck is an 02 and i have an edge comp hooked up. over the last many weeks ive noticed a studder, or hesitation you could call it when i gas it hard in the higher settings (4/5) it has slowly been getting worse, and since the last 2 weeks or so, it will do it about 60% of the time, even in setting 2 or 3. when the chip is turned off, i am not getting this studder. I have also noticed a considerable loss in power, this thing is running atleast 1/3 less powerful then when i originally installed the edge.

i have done the ignition turn on 3 times, and the only code coming up is 0645, which is just a failure in the A/C clutch (obviously not the problem here)

i have also bumped the starter, and i can hear the lift pump running afterwards.

and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

another thing ive noticed is when the chip is on, it will not redline. once it gets to about 2600-2700 it gets very uneven with the RPMS and doesn't rev out like before.

If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge, you need to get one ASAP. Fuel pressure is key to the long (hopefully) and happy life of a VP44. If you don't have codes, check at the schrader valve at the inlet of the VP44 to make sure you have fuel pressure. If you don't, check your fuel filter and lift pump and replace as necessary. You obviously are having a fuel issue here.
