Leveling option for a Stock 99CTD

hi guys, that's my question: I have measured my truck parked in the garage, on level, and unload, 11.5 inches REAR and 8.5 FRONT from tires to fenderwells. look at a leveling like READY LIFT for coil spacers (2inches)
my truck will be 11.5in RR and 10.5in FRT, very good but I don't like too much the spacers system...so I looked at Skyjacker They have COIL SPRINGS (D25) for my 99 or a lift kit with D25 COILS, RR add a leaf(1/1.5inches) and Front lower control arm(I think shorter than oe).
with the D25 coils I need new lower control arm?? not necessary w 2inches spacers...but maybe 2.5inches of lift involve the use of new control arm for the inclination of the driveshaft??
they also have D20(2inches) coils but only for RAM1500 I think...

any help will be much apprecciate!

The spacers are plenty adequate for levelling your truck. I have Tuff Country 2" spacers in mine and they are pretty stout, and a lot less dough than new springs. You can't even tell they are spacers unless you know what to look for.

Hell Bent Steel has some 2" spacers also. That is what RowJ is running now, but he is replacing them and his stock springs with springs from CSS.

Skyjacker's catalog lists the D25's as providing a 2"-2.5". Which one is it, 2" or 2.5", that is odd.

that's odd yes... I found Lorenz Ind. coils, they have 2" coils but costs 399bucks! SKJ are very cheaper.
what about SUPERLIFT coils: searching on Summit find out SLF-K425 - 2"front costs 399$$$
how much for your CSS coil? 2" or 2.5" ??

They usuually give a range of lift w/ spacers for some reason and a set height for lift kits. They may be factoring in the fact that your springs aren't new so may have some sagging.

i just ordered tuftruck coils. their website also said 2-2.5" lift for the 2500 trucks. i thought this may be due to the weight differences in gas vs diesel option. turns out i was right, when they shiped to my place the invoice said 2" for diesel & 2.5" for gas. i ordered the TTC-1213 coils.

if you are leaning towards the spring replacement option vs spacers look at kore:

Everyone is gonna have a different opinion on this, but go with new springs.

Why?

The price difference is small. You can get a set of 2" lift springs that are a bit stiffer and will ride better under a cummins for about 200 bones. Lift spacers are anywheres from 65-100 bucks usually.

Springs sag over time. After 9 years under a cummins, they've sagged. Not only that, but they won't ride as well either.

Thats just my opinion. I'm also going with new springs because it will hold a plow on the front of my truck better than the factory springs do.

ask KORE about the coils...they told me the HP leveling has coils for UP TO 3" INCHES OF LIFT...what they intend for UP TO 3" ??
3" for gas RAMs and less for the heavy diesels..??
anyone has experience with KORE?

I'm thinking about this also...I was searching the net for leveling options and Hell bent spacers look the same as Tough Country and they say they fit 1994-2008 models and it has already been mentioned that the spring's on a 99, 9 years old prbably have some sag in them....What about replacing the stock spring's from say an 06, 07, 08 model and into your 99? i wonder if there would be a difference? Same length? not nearly as much sag and i would assume (i know, I know) that you could get them from a salvage yard fairly reasonable.

Anyone know if the new trucks have the same spring length as say a 1999 model? Could you swap them out? if they are taller, that would help levelness some....correct? Just searching for ideas. Thanks

My 99..
