Leveling a megacab

I'm starting to get the itch more and more and as i crave i stumbled across the idea of leveling my truck. I have a 06 megacab 2x4 and want to put a leveling kit in the front and drop the back by flipping the spacer. Has anyone else done it? I dont want it to negatively affect my fuel milage and i know lifting a truck should decrease it but maybe not.

How hard is the install, should i just wait until i need new shocks? When should the shocks be changed out on these trucks anyways, some people dislike them, are they really that bad?

Top Gun Customs in Tn has leveling kit's, and Geno's garage has the Bilstein shocks for a leveling kit. Hope this help's.

I took my 2 inch lift out of the frt and removed the spacers under the rear spring pack, truck has just a little rake to it,actually looks quite mean with the bushwacker fender flares and 305,s.Your truck will set quite level with a 2 inch lift on the front.

Thanks for the replies, btw top gun customs says the kit wont fit 2x4's. I'm probably just gonna drop the rear since there is mixed suggestions on a leveling kit for a 2x4. Hopefully dropping the rear will look good enough and it seems pretty easy work. Does anyone have any suggestions or hits for dropping the rear?

also i took another look at it today and din't see the spacer, just the leaf pack. Is that due to the truck being a megacab or 2wd? I know everyone disagree's about having a lowered truck but since i have a 2wd i think it would look pretty good, especially once i get some help making my traction bars..

My 06 is a 4x4 3500,it has 3 spacers between the rear spring pack and axel, approx 15/8 inches that i took out,not sure about a 2x4 setup.Make sure you put new U bolts in and throw away your old ones.I really like mine lowered, handles very nice, plus the little lady is Impressed.

Yes i'm talking about lowering the rear. I was only gonne lift the front to level it, but rather have the looks of a lowered rear than a raised front. Has anyone done this on a 2wd megacab yet? i still don't know about the whole spacer thing in the rear spring pack because i didn't see them. I know what to look for but the only thing is the rest where the leaves sit on top of the axle. Any suggestion to drop this biggun?

There is one thats shorter than the rest of the leaf pack but its still atleast more than a foot long however, it doesnt go much towards the rear like the others that go much further past the axle. Could this be due to the 2x4?
