leveling kit w/bilsteins
tuff country said I could use my stock shocks with a 2inch leveling kit,or I could use a 26 inch shock.what would the drawbacks be of using a stock shock.I want to use a stock application bilstein, but dont know if i really need to go with a longer 26 inch shock. 2007 2500 ctd

Stock shocks
All manufacturers of those leveling kits never mention changing shocks. There should be no drawbacks unless you want a stiffer riding shock. Check out HellBent's website. They tell ya about changing the center of gravity and different ride and alignment stuff in their installation instructions for their leveling kit. Also their 2" kit is only $79 and free shipping.

That is two of the biggest drawbacks to the lift kits.
Most I have found are for 4x4 and mine is a 2x.
I just put a set of Bilsteins on and dont want to have to change them if I dont have to.
