leveling kit problem

Hey all, I just installed a 2 inch leveling kit on my 05 4x4 and now I have a loud popping noise coming from the frontend when I turn. also have a creaking noise when I hit a bump. I have checked everything and all my bolts are tight. The truck only has 22000 miles and was noise free before the kit. Any help?

This is the exact same problem I had with mine. Tighten down the 3 nuts on the top of the shocks, and make them TIGHT! This is the same thing I went through. I really had to crank them down, but don't break them.

did you disconnect the trac bar during install?? if so- double check the trac bar bolts- they need to be tight!

Well, I took my truck to a friend that works for caterpillar and we used a big torque wrench on the track bar bolts and torqued them to 170 ft-lbs. Guess what? the popping noise is still there. I know it's the track bar because I loosened the bolts so the track bar was moving freely in the brackets and the noise went away. So now what? I will probably go back to stock rubber bushings and a drop bracket for the track bar to keep the geometry stock. I would go with polyurethane but they will probably sqeak too. Any thoughts?

i think you have to do the pitman arm, if you do the track bar bracket. can never go wrong with don's adjustable track bar.

i thought if the vehicle was raised 3" or more, then a aftermarket/longer track bar was needed?
just recently installed a 2.5" front leveling kit with no issues on my 06

Did you mess with the lower mounting bolts for the front shocks at all?
