Legal weight
#4
Im new here but have owned acouple pickups in my day. my tow rig is a 92 1ton dually. the pickup weighs 6000lbs. Its been on plenty of scales. I dont see where your truck should be so heavy. I haul a 40ft gooseneck @15k for a total of 21k max at times. It does the job but Im going to get a bigger truck. Its one thing to pull the weight, its another to stop and CONTROL the weight.

I admit to not being that up on the newer trucks. If my dually was a 4x4 I guess it would be 7500+ or so. what is the GVW of the newer trucks. 12-15k? there are some states (calif.) that only allow 21k max for a 1ton. Im looking to get a fl60.
