Thumbs down Leeky Door

I live here on the rain coast in British Columbia. PS. IT RAINS! I bought my truck in the early summer and never noticed until now, but my driver side door leeks like a sieve . It's a regular cab so it must be a seal on the top of the door. Anybody else had this happen? Whats the fix like?

I had that for awhile too. My fix was to drill some more drain holes along the door sill. Ive noticed that the foam rubber weather strip around the perimeter of the door soaks up water, so Im guessing the weatherstrip at the very top of the door is leaking.
Im assuming thats a DC part =(

Have you rebuilt the upper hinge?
My driver's didn't leak water, but the wind noise was deafening. Found completely worn bushings and damaged pin in the upper hinge. I cannot believe how thin the factory bushings were. I drilled it out and applied a larger one from universal repair kit.

very true.. I replaced the top and bottom pins and bushings and that made a LOT of difference in the noise.
I still think I need that weather stripping. Sounds like its an OEM only then. Least its fairly cheap
