Has anyone used these bulbs or do you know anything about them? I was thinking of giving them a go.
Also...Are the headlight pigtails on the 07s different from the other Gen3s?
My buddy told me he tryed to install PIAA bulbs that fit his 03 in his 07 and they would not work?

Sorry, never used them, but one issue I've noticed that bodybuilders that use LED tailights, I have seen that the signals blink really fast - not enough load resistance on the flasher. I was interested in replacing everything with LED bulbs, but then again, heard stories about getting "light out" codes because of the low current draw of the LED's - they draw next to nothing for power.

In your inquiries, you might want to see if someone has come up with a solution to these issues before installation upsets you with their less than desirable workings.

I bought some LED lights for my old rock crawler and when I did I also bought a little black box that stops the fast blinking, I searched for a while but cant find the info on it since it has been a few years. I will find the info in the morn and post it here.

I'm sure that someone here has replaced all their bulbs and will jump in on possible solutions. It'll just take some time for them to find this thread.

I know that resistors was one of those solutions, but hearsay was that one had to be placed before each bulb - now that's a major pain in the backside if I may say. That's just hearsay again. Someone I'm sure has come up with something better.

The tailight pigtails ARE different on the '07s. I've got a set of APC tails that plugged in and worked just fine on a friend's '03 but I had to cut the pigtails off and put my own connectors on to make them work with mine. Don't know why Dodge changed them. I'd suggest anyone wanting LED tails just wait a couple of months until APC comes out with some that will plug into the '07s and install in about 5 minutes as opposed to hassle I went through getting mine to work.

Several days ago I read a post on RV.Net about someone who had done this and there is also a short article in the current issue of Trailer Life mag on this. You may find that article on their website.

I would install a set of LED taillights, not just bulbs. I have a set of Depo lights on my truck and they look great and don't throw any lamp out codes.

Do your signals blink really fast? Do you have an LED bulb in the fronts also?

Easy enough. Now, if one replaced the front bulbs to LED, would resistors have to be put up there as well?

From the looks of the first link pictures...

The tail lights are completely clear in color... You may want to check your states vehicle code...

In California they would be illegal.

the parking/marker lamps in the rear must be red in color and light in red, Brake lights can be clear but must light red in color,
you must also have red reflectors visible at 200ft (i think it is 200 ft) to the rear of the vehicle..

The reflectors are incorporated in the tail lights we have..

of course there is always a catch all that California has.. you may not modify the lighting equipment on a vehicle..

hate to have someone pulled over for the lights and get caught for something else..

I gave it a try when I got my white 3157 20+LED bulbs for my front blinkers. I stuck them in my tail light housings and it wasnt as bright as a regular bulb.

It didnt reflect light inside the housing like its soppose to. All it did was light up the bulb itsself and not the whole housings.

If this was a good idea many people would have already done this. It sux not to mention the fast blinking action.

If you feel the need to bomb your tail lights get a pair of the factory looking red LED units from depot or sylin.

Take it from me...leave the bulbs stock or your will have poor performance.

My lights don't blink fast at all, and I have stock lighting in the front.
