LED Clearance Lights
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
Anybody run these? I've been wanting CAB lights for quite a while and ran across these recently. Downside is, you have to have wiring. I'm starting from scratch so i found a wiring harness for another 25.00. Just wandering if it's worth it for LED's.
Can't you change out the bulbs in the RECON kits for LED's??
Thank in advance for any information!

Directly from recon's site:
"Every kit is supplied with five Xenon gas filled 194 style bulbs"
That's why i was wanting to know thoughts on the LED set listed above on EBAY. They have 4leds to each light.

All you need is 2 wires long enough to go from the driver side cab light to the dash on the passenger side. There is a harness that you tie into on the passenger side a-pillar for power.

I had the first series of Recons and the lenses were crappy. Maybe they are better now but I doubt it. The chrome paint on the base fell off after a few years and they had to be siliconed down to seal well.
For the same price, I recommend getting a real set of LED, fully potted lights that are better designed and better quality. I put these on from Grote and really like them:

They are not a direct fit, but it's just a matter of melting two holes through the base piece for a direct fit.

Installed my RECONS over 2 years ago. ZERO problems and mine did not have lights from the factory. Like said above, make your own harness. remove the passenger side A pillar and there is a plug at the bottom of the pillar. take a meter and find the power when lights are turned on. this is the same harness used for the factory lights. Make your own harness for about $6-$10. I also did not use the RECON plugs and hard wired each light when we installed them.
