Leaky inj pump
Just bumped the timing on the rig today and somehow I have a leaky throttle shaft. Well since I have to pull the pump top to replace the O ring seal was wondering if it is absoultly necessarry to retard the timing on the pump to do this. Thanks Jethrro

first i would pull the throttle shaft and reinstall it correctly. i had one leak after doing something so i pulled it and reinstalled it, never had a problem again... you have to make sure it's pulled to the correct height.

Once you have the pump top off the throttle shaft o-ring is real easy to replace. Just mark the timing position when you move the pump. Be sure you loosen the bolt in the bracket in the back or you'll have a heck of a time moving the pump.
