Leak in PS pump area? Fix or replace?

Well hopefully my last big issue is a leak from the PS pump area. I look up into that area and see a drip under the connection housing for the PS pump. Its defintely PS fluid. Can I just replace seals or gaskets or what . Anyone done this and have a few suggestions before I go and take apart all?

Also to get rid of some play or sagging in the steering while I think I must remove steering box to get in there. Should I change out the steering shaft that comes from the column? Or just the steering box and any linkage that needs replacing? I figured now is the time to do that since I'm in there!

Thks in advance.

I almost got this thing how I want it!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry just saw your post now. Not sure why no one else has responed yet???
My PS pump leaks a little bit as well. I have read about the cause on here before, but can remeber what it was. Im pretty sure it was a big expensive project though. So mine can continue to leak and mark its territory.
As far as the slop? in the steering, thats prolly the track bar. Many different options on fixing that. Its a major bad design on the truck. I just replaced the whole thing with a NAPA trackbar for $185. with a lifetime warranty. But it WILL go bad again. Do a search on trackbar on here. Lots of reading.
Also if it would happen to be the steering box, which I doubt but ya never know for sure, it can be adjusted without having to remove anything. There is a locknut on the top of the steering box with a allen headed bolt in it. Thats how you can do that. Again do a search to find the proper specs to tighten this as I can remember off hand. I hope this will at least get you headed in the right direction. Good luck, Bret
