Boiken is the way I think that is spelled. There is a pretty big diff. between the 2. The Boiken is about 35 lbs and the lab is about 80 lbs or more at adult weight. If you are using them to retrieve the Spaniels do a great job but sometimes have a hard time in big water or with Canadian geese. Watch the lab breeders as there are a number of them out there just producing puppies. You might also consider the English Springer Spaniel as a pretty nice dog. I am a dog trainer and do about 300 dogs a year, the one word of advise is to choose your dog carefully. If you are going to hunt with it make sure the dog is birdie and from a good line. Spend the $ to get the right dog and you will save $ in the long run.
