KORE Welds with Nitto 325 Review

Great Combo! I'm extremely happy.

They ride great & track straight. I would guestimate that the sidewall of the tire sticks out about 2.25 inches. They look really good but will look better after I install a set of Xenon's or Bushwackers.

I’ve had an opportunity to drive both unloaded and pulling my boat (about 8.5K lbs at the time). The ride is at least as comfortable as with the stock Michelin’s. Towing I was surprised at the stability. Because of the lower “D” load rating (as compared to the stockers) I was worried that the sidewalls would be a little on the mushy side under load. My first impression is that the Nitto’s are actually BETTER, especially on rough pavement and making lane changes on the highway.

My only problem at this point is a front tire rub on both sides. If the steering wheel is turned more than one full turn in either direction, the rear of the tires rub on a control arm of some sort. I left a message for Kent at KORE last week to see if his PACE package will minimize or eliminate this rubbing. If you’re reading Kent, please give me a ring: 407-380-6547.

You limit the travel of the steering just a little by placeing a small weld bead on the steering stop on the knuckle. That will be your best bet. A lift does not help that much with rubbing on the control arms. It is a function of wheel backspacing.

have had mine for 11 months, love them, load D, there are E's but I only tow about 8k, my back space is 6.12, what is yours???

I love them so far, a little noiser than the BFG's

Gary - Great looking rig. Which fender flares are you running & do you like them?

The spec's on the rims are: 18" x 8.5", 8 x6.5 B.C., 40MM offset, 6.522" Back Space.

Are you getting any rubbing? If you have the same offset, it would seem that the .4" might be enough to keep the tires off the control arms.

Goggle-You have a 6.5 Back spacing while Gary has 6.12 BS.

Gary are you experiencing any rubbing issues on your truck?

Also has anyone looked at the Weld XT with a rim size of 18” x 10”.

Google-What size tires are you running on there?

Slight rubbing on both sides at full steering lock. Not an issue other than when parking.

The Tires are the same as Gary's- Nitto 325/65/18's.

Your only fix will be to reduce back spacing on wheels get tires away from the frame then you will definitely need fender flare's good luck to you

Yes they do rub, just a little, with your 6.5 BS the tires would rub more because the wheel/tyre is sucked in closer to the arms,,, the flairs are Xenon flairs, I think I spelled it right...and love them

these tyres really throw alot of rocks, the side/bottom of the truck is taking a beating, might linex the hammered area this summer

Also, you should run your tyres at 55 lbs when towing and without 45 front and 38 rear at these pressures the tires still look new, you knew that,,,,,,

OMT, live with it and DO NOT run spacers,,,, Do you have hub centric rings ? I do and no shimmy. makes a huge difference...

I've been running 50lbs front & 55lbs rear. It rides & pulls great but I'll give your settings a try.

BTW - When I was trying to decide which way to go on the tires you were one of the few people that piped up. Thanks!

The wheels are definitely hub centric. Are the rings something separate or is that the hole in the middle of the wheel that rests on the hubs? There is no shimmy at all. This combo runs smooth & straight.

The center of the wheel should ride on the hub... if they do, sounds like they are made for our Dodges.

I've got the 325 Nitto's on 20's and they are VERY close even with my 5" lift. (see gallery) I can't imagine how bad it would be without a lift... Sounds like you should do a leveling kit, and if you tow alot put an add-a-leaf or taller block in the rear to keep the factory "rake" and prevent squatting when towing...

Gary- According to KORE they had the wheels made by Weld specifically for our trucks. Have a good Holiday yourself!!! The sun is out today but it's in the 50's. Brrrrr.

I was planning on going with the KORE 2" lift but Kent hasn't returned my call for some reason. It looks like a fair number of guys have gone with the Tuff Country kit. I guess I'll look into that next. Any other lift/leveling kit suggestions would be appreciated.
