Keystone camper quality???
Where on the scale do Keystone campers fit into the quality linup?? I have a Cherokee Wolf Pack toy hauler made buy Forest River and it needds to go away. It breaks every time I use it. I walked threw a Copper Canyon FW at a show a week ago and realy liked it. It apeared to be better built than my current pile but I thought this one would be good to so I want more input on this before I decide to trade.
This is the flore plan I walked threw and liked.

I also Like this one because it gets the bathroom out of the bedroom. The only downfall of this one is that it takes away room in the living area.

I've got a Keystone Cougar 289BHS and it's held up better than I expected. Other than a blowout the day I bought it, I've had no problems. Just make sure it doesn't have Chinese tires. I think they've taken care of the tire issue since I bought mine.

I've got the same Fifth wheel. Its been the most trouble free trailer (knock on wood) that I've owned. The two previous trailer needed numerous things fixed/adjusted at pickup. I looked through the Cougar for over 4 hours and couldn't find anything that needed attention. I was very impressed.
My Dad has a 34' Copper Canyon travel trailer and hes had nothing but good to say about his as well.
Neither my Cougar or his CC are full time quality rigs, but have held up very well for 25-30 nights per year as camping rigs.
I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Sprinter are the lower end of the Keystone models I would not purchase one. A buddy has one and has nothing but problems could have been a monday, or friday trailer though. Weekend warior is my choice, Jayco also are extremely well built.

I wont be getting anouther toy hauler so WW is out of the question plus they are WAY overpriced in my opinion. We dont use it as a toy hauler often enough to justify it. From now on the one or two times a year that we want a toy hauler we will just pull double, wich is why I want a FW. Ime just having a hard time pulling the triger on anything rite now with fuel prices. I am starting to think selling the entire outfit may be more realistic. Probobly wont but I am starting to think it makes more sense.

Keystone=JUNK< JUNK<JUNK!!!
I have had one for six years and have had to fix just about everything in it.
I use mine constantly and whenyou get in areas that need fixing you find out what and how they are really made.
I have a major list things that I could write up but the best one was when the entire back end of the trailer broke loose on one side and swung out 12".
There are a lot better trailer out there to be had and I would highly recommend looking into them before you bought anything from them unless their quality control and inproved by 500% then you will be just be getting headache.

I did not buy a Jayco after visiting a KC RV lot and walking through a bunch of new Jaycos that had mouldings peeling off, door hinges falling out of jambs and interior wall material buckling, just standing still there on the lot. I imagined what it would look like after being towed, and decided against it.

I just towed my Jayco Recon from Phoenix to Portland Oregon, across to Ohio, then down to NC. Generator stopped working, not Jayco's fault. Around 4k miles without any other issues. I had a Keystone Hobbie and it started falling apart the 1st time I moved it. Also, major delam issues, I had to threaten to sue before they settled for $3500. Your choice but I say screw Keystone!

Were hveing a hard time deciding what to do with fuel prices. I keep threatning to just get rid of the truck and camper altogether but we enjoy camping way to much. The only thing I may do is get rid of the curent pile of junk and look around for a nice clean used unit that is cheaper than ours. That way I can aford to put fuel in the truck to pull the camper. I want a new one but with no end in sight for fuel prices I may save money on the camper and use it for fuel.

No matter which trailer you pick you will either love it or hate it. I have a Keystone Outback (past 3 years) and I am actually in route to pick up a new Keystone Sydney trailer. I have had no trouble with mine and would recommend them but since Keystone owns a dozen different trailer manufacturers you never really know what you are going to get.
