Is there anyway to determine if my truck came with Keyless entry? I bought it used and all that came with it was 2 keys. Its a 2001 2500 QC LB Laramie...any other info will be given...didn't know what you all need to maybe help me determine if it did come with this option. Thanks

Have a dealer print out your VIN number. On my 2002 the remote keyless entry shows up under optional equipment code GXMP. That is the only sure way I know.

Behind the dash, right about where your right knee is, is where the module is located. Crawl under and look. If the module has two connectors it is the "high line" version with keyless entry. If it has a single connector it is the base system without keyless entry.

Is the module located in the same place on a 98?

My book says its behind the left side of instrument panel on the '98.
