K31's

i recently ran into a K31 turbo off a detroit and want to run a hx/k31 the rebuild kit for it is only 60 bucks so i bought the turbo. my question is its a bit on the small side for a larger turbo only about 66mm at the inducer and the housing is a .60 A/R from what i can tell, and the exhaust housing is wastegated and is 1.01 A/R with a exhaust inducer of about 75mm. would this make a nice small twin set-up for towing and putzing around town? or would i have to get a larger k-31 off a higher HP detroit? ill get exact wheel measurments tomorrow when i get my hands on the metric mic.

P.S. would a S300 and a S400 off a mack be worth anything?

Its a bit small, but that set up would be about the same as the bd towing twins. Depending how much power you want, is wether you would want a different one or not. Id say it would be good for a nice 500-550 hp.

it would be a good match with a stock turbo if youre looking to get into the low 500 range.

got exact measurments with a metric mic. today compressor wheel inducer is 67.73 mm(68mm?) and the exhaust wheel inducer is 81.73 (82mm?) im hoping it will be a quick spooling set-up good with heavy towing underneath a moded stocker. does it look like it will work well?

I think it would work in your set up. I know II has a K31 in their tow twins.
