200k on two different vehicles with a K&N in each. They didn't burn oil and the sky isn't falling.

K&N on my old 96 301,000 and 203,000 on the sold 2000 3500. Neither ever used more than 1/2qt of oil between changes. Cleaned the filter every 10,000, never saw any oil in the intake hose to the turbo.

I've read the air filter studies. I've heard of the Warranty "Dusted Engines" I have a K&N in the 06. I've seen the stock air filter when the intake monitor is in the Red. It's really is not that dirty. I tore the foam pad off the filter and use it to replace the K&N while it's being cleaned.

I'm still out on the results of the studies. I'm considering running a stock filter for 10K and look at it real hard compared to the dirt that comes out of the K&N when its cleaned. I mean sometimes the water wash after the spray is black with dirt. A couple tablespoons worth anyway.

I had a k&n on my chevy gasser and in dusty conditions, it let some fine dust through. I do not run that brand on my 6.7. Maybe the newer filters are better, I do not know.

All the K&N's I have run let too much dust thru... If you live on they highway you may get away with one, rural or dusty conditions I wouldn't consider it.

Good UOA with Amsoil nano-fiber.
