Can’t hardly wait for the “4th quarter” so I can get into one of these!

lot of threads on this board regarding problems with the 6.7 emissions. wonder if CTD has changed anything for this good looking 2010? thinking i may be ready to get rid of my 5.9 by next year and this 6.7 is looking pretty sharp.

The new interior and exterior are awesome, and the solutions to the emissions stuff are already out there. Plus they got that exhaust brake and a beefier 68RE.

I halted my plans for the 07 when I read the new ones were still available in Megacab form. It just needs a performance lift on 22s/37s with some 6" miter stacks stickin out of the bed. There's already a twin system out there using the factory VGT turbo and a TC is all you need for the tranny to hold the power [guitar]

Well the dodge is going to be the hot ticket since GM and Ford will have to revise their emissions systems to keep up. Cummins already meets 2010 standards.

From what I have read about the 6.7L there are no major problems just some things that need to be removed. I can see that some of you in some states might have an issue with the law about removing some of the emissions junk, but up here in Canada I plan to run a straight back exhaust to avoid any of those DPF/EGR issues and help save to turbo.

For 2010 love the look and upgrades like the braking and intior, finally has dodge come up to and bet the styling of the ford line up. Cant wait!

Only question left is duelly or no duelly lol

Aside from the BlueTec badging, the 6.7L is designed better than the 5.9L, and will be more fun on the street.

Is it going to be the same 6.7 CTD that is in the current HD line? The reason I ask is because Ford has the 6.7 Scorpion diesel coming out in the 2011 Super Duty. There is a lot of hype in the Ford community surrounding this in house diesel that is supposed to be another twin turbo and at least 390 hp and 700 lbs/ft of torque, with a six speed tranny and urea injection. They are already saying to expect 3+ miles per gallon gain over the current PSD. I really want the new Dodge badly, but I would really love to see them do something to the Cummins to get it in the same ball park as the "Scorpion."

Yes, it is my understanding that it will be essentially the same 6.7 engine and same drive line. Some upgrades to the front axle in terms of load max. The major difference are going to be in the styling, interior comfort and options (such as crew cab). Also new (ithink) is the Engine brake.

Personally I am after the 2010 for looks and options, otherwise I would be buying a earlier model of the 6.7 because I trust the engine and know the minor problems it has.

As for the ford’s new engine. Ford has only been having problems with their newer diesels ( not saying the earlier generations were perfect) but I would wait 2years after they (if they do) release their new engine. I am sure there will be multiple problems, and I would like to know them before buying and hopefully they have the kinks resolved in that time.

Always liked fords styling but never owned one. This year I think dodge knocked it out of the park styling wise and it a real threat to the competition not only for the Cummins as was the only reason in pasted year (in my opinion) but for comfort and styling as well.

Cant wait, first year I am looking forward to the winter lol

I don't want to start a whole fuel thread, but was wondering the approx Hwy Mpg on the 6.7? I would guess it's in the 18 mpg range?

I get 20-22 with my 2004 on the hwy. It sounds like the new 2010 has some good aerodynamics, so maybe 20 will be possible? Any thoughts?
