I Just Line Xed My Rear Bumper
We the 3rd bumper I had on my truck was starting to rust so I decided to have the boys at Line X shoot it black. Looks pretty good.
New bumper $190.00
Line X $125.00
Not having to see a rusty ol bumper, priceless.
That stuff is pretty amazing.
What else besides a truck bed have you Line Xed?

It's not LineX but it has liner on it (bottom part of the truck closest to the ground). Did it with Herculiner from Menards. Still looks good and is holding up quite nicely.

I want to do the same thing Boilermaker, but I'm gonna line all the way up to the body line. My buddy has a Red PSD with the black Line-X on the bottom and it looks nice, but it would be so much better if it were on my truck! BTW, I have my WARN Fender Flares coated with Line-X, keeps them from getting torn up because the hard shell keeps rocks and stuff from digging into the plastic.

I had a 1994 dakota with 33's and herculined the whole interior myself. looked good and all I had to do was wash it out, but I would only do it on an off-road vehicle. it was my high school truck. cause it gets the cab cold in the winter and hot in the summer real quick. And isn't good at dampening sound.

Gieco,
Will you post a pix of the bumper? It shounds interesting.
The floor, and 3 feet up and the rear doors on the cargo trailer are LINE-X.
Stuff don't slide on the floor, and it is one tuff liner. Nothing has chipped or cut it. It came that way.

I wanted to have my truck perma-tech coated on the rockers in body color, but the only outfit in TX that does it, their machine is down and they're not sure they're gonan fix it
I was planning on doing black, but my truck already has a ton of black on it. I'd rather have it done body color.
any ideas?

how much it would cost to do both rockers up to the bottom of the doors?

Depends on who you have do it, you could do it yourself for about $75. I was quoted $450 at the Rhino Liner store in Buffalo, so once it gets warmer I'm gonna Herculiner it myself.

I built a two drawer tool box for my bed out of BCI joists and plywood. I had the exterior sprayed with Full Metal Jacket (same as Line-x, just less dough). It rains here alot and when my canopy is off my tools are kept dry in this box. I have used it for 5 years now and it still looks great.

For the guys that live in the snowbelt and salt is used on the roads......I highly recommend AGAINST line-x, rhino, etc.....
All it takes is one pinhole to let moisture start getting in behind that stuff, then you wind up with this....
Doing my rockers with Rhino lining is by far the worst that I have done to that truck as an add on.....
Just my .02
