Just got BD Power Pup, questions...

I just got my Bully Dog Power Pup with Outlook Monitor and my AFE PG7 from Kyle Graham @ Extreme Diesel Performance. I've got the filter on and have downloaded the 90hp setting and I think it's awesome. Huge difference!

Looking at the Outlook Monitor, I'm trying to figure out where to mount the temp probe for the Pyrometer. The instructions say that you can go pre or post Turbo but there is a difference of about 200 degrees less if you mount post turbo. Anyone have any preference. Should I mount pre or post? Is there a benefit to either???

Thanks,

Chad

Hey Buzz. Look futher down on the first page. There is a current post going on EGT probe placement. Mine will be going Pre-turbo for accuracy. Have fun with that thing.

pre turbo for sure, just as easy to drop the turbo than to get it in someplace post turbo, in my opinion

The impeller on any turbo's hotside can handle a few metal flakes no worries. Just stuff a rag in the exaust and tape it in place, start the truck up, and drill. The backpressure will make 99% of the chips fly directly into your eyes, nose, or mouth, guaranteed.
