just bought a new truck

yesterday i had the 01 2wd. It was to much of a pulling truck. I traded even for a 1999 dodge 2500 ext cab long bed 4x4. It has less miles and its a auto. It has alot more power then the other truck did..

congrats! the 4x4 will come in handy at some point I'm sure (maybe more depending on your location :P)... Here in the lower part of MI I typically don't take it out of 2wd unless I'm in a hurry and the weather is especially bad, I'm confident I'd be fine in a 2wd but I'm not willing to sacrifice the convenience . I have wondered many times how much better my MPG would be with a 2wd, and whether or not it would be worth switching, maybe I'll just need to buy another rig .

Sounds like a good trade to me though, even being a couple years older the 4x4 could easily make up the difference in value and then some!

I read somewhere that you can take your front driveshaft off in the summer. Anyone doing that? I think it was Diesel Power and they might have been talking about Chevys.
