30% off for lowest HP#!!! Thats an idea I haven't ever seen. Awesome, I wonder if it means I shouldn't put the turbo on thats sitting in the den? Hey, maybe I could use that to get rest of what I want. Take off the tuner, add the slipping tranny in, I could do well with my combo.

[laugh] It is a diffrent idea, but if that how you want to do it! It's really designed for the guys who are tight on money looking for new modifications!

I am glad you guys are planning the sled pull for your event. I know there are alot of Members that love it and that can only help your event buddy!;) CHET just likes to give me a hard time about me entering a sled pull with the old 96'![laugh] But it is all in fun.

Heck Lucas, as you probably know if the drag racing sanctioning bodies pass that rule next year about full cages in any truck below 12.50 since that wreck in Panama City my drag racing career may be over too because I can't see myself putting a cage in my pristine 96' either![laugh]

I've got a friend going in with me on 2 12v's He's wanting to sled pull, I'm going racing. I've got concerns that if I go with a full cage is there any street legality issues?
I would love to keep it street legal as well! I know theres laws but how detailed is my question!

Our general service has picked up so much I've been working 80+ hours a week, and Dont ever seem to make headway! I'm the only mechanic, and I've got a helper and window tinter , but It's wearing me down quick!!

Lucas:

To my knowledge, in North Carolina there is no current laws in Chapter 20 of the "N.C. Motor Vehicle Laws" that would restrict you from installing a cage in your truck. But, you can check with your local H.P. Office to make sure.

Lucas:

Can you post some directions on the easiest route for us to take here from the coast? My thoughts were to head out on I-40 East to your area and then up a N.C. State Numbered Road. Let me know...................

Thanks Lucas.

mysterync

John, MapQuest has got it right on the money! It's probaby the quickest way! This also skips the 321 MTN...If you can at all cost avoid Hickory and 321 into blowing rock, It may be a little quicker but the road can be a real pain! Even more so if your not used to driving it....Dang construction!
Here's there directions!

5: Merge onto I-40 W via the ramp on the LEFT. 171.8
6: Keep RIGHT to take I-40 W/ I-85 BR S via EXIT 131 toward US-70/ GREENSBORO/ WINSTON-SALEM. 7.7
7: Keep RIGHT to take I-40 W via EXIT 36A toward WINSTON-SALEM. 30.6 8: Merge onto US-421 N via EXIT 188 toward YADKINVILLE/ WILKESBORO. 45.7 9: US-421 N becomes WATSON BRAME EXPY. 7.1
10: WATSON BRAME EXPY becomes US-421 N. 28.0
11: Turn LEFT onto NC-105 EXT/ US-221. 0.8
12: Turn LEFT onto BLOWING ROCK RD/ US-221/ US-321. Continue to follow US-221/ US-321. 4.1
13: Turn RIGHT onto MYSTERY HILL LN. 0.1
14: End at 129 Mystery Hill Ln Blowing Rock, NC 28605

Look foward to seeing you guys!

Lucas:

From our area down here, I have three (3) including myself that should be coming. That would be from our group in the NCDTR #18 Chapter.

As far as the banner etc., I will check with Rich (Diesel Daze) and Lary Ellis (Top) to make sure there is no problem with your banner idea. Thanks for the ideas though.
