I've made my decision

I've decided to go with a set of 275 injectors for now, just to hold me over till I can afford something bigger (gotta do a clutch with my tax return this spring). If these things live up to their reputation fuel mileage wise, they shouldn't take to long to pay for them selves.
Do I definately need a boost fooler with these? Someone said something to me about just wiring a resistor into the map sensor harness, but I don't wanna hack into my stock wiring. Wheres the best place to get one? I'll also get a boost elbow right away. I'm just looking to get the most out of these that I can.

The injectors them self isn't why you'll need a boost fooler. In fact RV275's can run in your truck almost as a stock upgrade. It's the boost elbow that will allow more boost. If you don't go over 20 lbs of boost, I don't think you'll trigger any codes. As for actually getting a boost fooler, check with www.quadzillapower.com and www.bd-power.com I believe both companies sell a stand alone boost fooler for your truck.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the ecm would cut back on fuel if it saw an overboost code or not. i wasn't even sure if boost elbow was necessary with these. Before I switched to the SO pump, I was seeing 20-21lbs. of boost anyways.

The ECM won't defuel until 26psi with an HO ecm. That's when you get the overboost code.

So I'd install the 275s and a boost control device and set the boost for a max of 25psi or so. You should have enough air to cool them easily, and won't need any electronics-- or so I think

Hohn, did you have your Mach 4's before the smarty? Did you have a boost fooler before then and what type did you use? I'm asking cause eventually i wanna get a set of those, and if I do before I get a box, I'll have to do something about boost fooling. $900 is a bit much for me to swing right now, but fuel prices around here are killing me, so I'm gonna try the 275's for now.
