It's official - I am now a Diesel Owner!! Now with pics!
Just parked it in the driveway for its first time: 2007 2500 4x4 Laramie H QC SB 5.9 CTD 6spd with Jake brake, SRT-10 hood, body color grill, Electric Blue paint. It currently shows 35 miles.
I don't plan to do much if anything in the way of engine mods, but it will get leveled and proper tires and shocks applied pretty soon. De-badging is likely, and I already have wheel well liners for it.
Now for an evening of reading manuals....

Congrats and welcome. I would leave it all stock. OK maybe level it and tires. And maybe exhaust and airbox. Or maybe a power adder of some sort, nothing wild something like 200 hp and 400 lbs. Then meth. Almost forgot the bigger turbo. Clutch. Other than that stay pretty stock it will last forever. If I forgot anything just read for a while, somebody will add something to the list. I was going to leave mine all stock but then I found this place .

Yes - please, by all means, leave it stock. Sounds like a commercial:
* New truck - $42K
* Billet tranny with all the trimmings - $5K
* Power downloader - $500
* Set of gauges to match the interior - $80
* Expression on your 7yr olds face as you lay 200ft of rubber and smoke out the "little old lady" at the intersection - PRICELESS
Seriously, once you start down the "dark path", it is hard to stop. I started with a simple set of gauges and now have a built tranny and BD CL tune. You only live once - might as well and have some fun

Thanks guys! I've been down this road before - I spent the better part of 20 years building and racing big block Mopars. I have developed a certain level of resistance (that's what I keep telling myself anyway). Besides, I'm going to buy one of the new Challengers in a couple of years anyway - THAT one won't stay stock for very long. I may need the truck for towing if I start breaking stuff on the car.
I'm going to leave this truck relatively mild (how's that?) and really I don't intend to do any power mods at all. I do plan a small lift (KORE or one of the other quality suppliers) and a set of Centerline wheels and some 315/70R17's in the very near future (by spring). The first order of business is to get it Line-X'd and decide on a tonneau cover. A better sound system after that.
I'll post pics after I get home from work. She sure is purty!

good luck with that, you have already found this site which will be your ultimate downfall. Your warranty should be voided in T-minus 27days 3 hours
