IssPro amplifier mounting locations?

Hey guys,

Getting ready to install my gauges today, and I was wondering.....what is the accepted location for mounting the amplifier boxes? I am mounting the gauges in dash in the cubby hole, if it matters. The two gauges that have amps are the pyro and trans temp.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Same here, have mine mounted with heavy duty zip ties so that it can hang a little too, limit it vibrating against anything. Its still snug enough to stay in its place too.

good deal!! that worked out well! Thanks guys!

So, ok, got the gauges done. Well, mostly done. I can't find a 1/8 NPT tap locally, so am going to have to wait for a little while before i can put the EGT sensor in....but i do have a question if anybody is still reading.

I'll have to drive it a bit more to get an idea of the trans temp....used the aluminum puck from diesel manor, so i figure it will take a fair amount of driving to get the whole unit heated up.

But my question was about the amount of boost i should be making. So just a nice easy slow take off, i barely make any boost. then slightly uphill, wot, i am making just a tad over 30psi. Sound about normal?

Thanks!

Coolio. Trans temp readings were about 145-160 just driving around town. I didn't push it too hard. At what point do I need to be worried about trans temps w/ a tripple disc tc?

Behind the kick panel below the steering wheel. Same place the posters above mounted theirs.

I've got the amp on the left side and a painless wiring panel on the right. You can take off the metal part of the panel and wedge it up out of the way during your work to make things easier. I strapped mine down with some zip ties through some holes in the side of the panel but you could drill if you needed.
