The aux jack will not allow you to use the controls you mention. At least I don't think so . . . . because this is not a two way connection, input only to your deck. The gain is low too but at least you get your tunes.

I think the part number is 82209617AC; I looked at it at one point in time and this is the number I have written down for it.

There is an adapter that you can buy from Dodge that will hook up directly to your radio and control the iPod through the factory NAV system and the steering wheel controls. The only two setbacks are these..... supposedly with the REC radio (NAV system) you will lose the sat radio presets when you change sources to the iPod and then back to the sat radio. The other setback is that it cost a little north of $200 plus tax at dealerships. Not sure if you can find it online but I'm sure you can.

I'm not sure about the steering wheel controls but I have a 3ft cord for my IPOD so I can use it like a remote. I set the volume on the stereo at about 28 and then use the IPOD to control the volume. On road trips my IPOD usually lays in my lap. Not as good as steering wheel controls but I like the set up because I can hold the IPOD to where my eyes stay on the road when adjustments are needed.
