IP problem?

My truck wouldnt start yesterday morning so I changed the LP (old one leaked) and fuel filter for good measure. No go. I've checked for fuel at the bleeder after the fuel filter and have plenty of fuel there, so I cracked open the return line bolts at each injector hoping it just had air in the line. When I crank it over, nothing. No fuel from those lines at all.

Did I miss something? Think its the IP?

Thanks for any help,
Brian

i dont know if you checked it, but there is a little handle on the IP that cuts off the fuel. i know if im parking the truck in a iffy part of town ill flip that valve, and it wont start.

Cracking the lines at the return port of the injectors won't do any good if you have air in the lines.

First check that you can pump fuel through the filter by opening the bleeder at the top of the fuel filter where the banjo comes out and either cranking or working the lever on the lift pump. If you have fuel there then crack the high pressure lines at the injectors and crank it until you get fuel spray then tighten them back down. Don't let the high pressure fuel touch your skin or it could cut you.

After you get the air out of the high pressure lines it should start. If you don't get fuel there you may have a broken wire to the shutdown solenoid or a bad ignition switch.

Yes, check for power at the fuel shutoff solenoid before you throw any more parts at it.
