Question interior plastic trim paint

I've noticed the plastic on the door panels and around the windshield trim is starting to fade from dark red to a pink and in some parts white on my '94 since I moved over here . Welcome to Arizona and its incredable heat and UV !

Years ago you could buy a spray bomb that was specifically for plastic interior trim , it worked super and really bit deep into the plastic and wouldnt peal off . Now I hear they have reformulated it ( to protect us from ourselves ) and it doesnt stick worth a darn . I've actually seen it where you could get a loose end and peel it like an onion . Not good !

Any suggestions as to a brand name or place I could buy the good quality stuff ? I wonder would the guys who go around to the dealerships to spruce up their used cars have the good stuff anymore ?

Thanks mucho ,

Pigeonman Bob

Dodge sells the interior paint to match our trucks (at least they did 5 years ago). I painted my pillar pod to match the stock interior and it was a perfect match.

Any paint supply store can mix you a pint of your interior color.

I called a guy that installed the gauge pods on the side, he told me to buy some "Bulldog Adhesion Promotor" in the spray can and then I got the paint code from my Dodge Manual, for the trim, took that info to O'Reilleys and they mix it and put it in a spray can for you.

Also bought the Bulldog there, that crap works, the paint job is tough as nails.

I don't want to use aerosol paint. Aerosol paints dry, spray gun paints cure. They last longer. I add a little reducer to my paint & it burns into the plastic. You can scratch aerosol paint off with your finger nail, because it isn't cured or burnt in.
