I am seriously considering putting some 35 x 10.5 x 17 SSR's on my stock wheels and would like some feedback if anyone is familiar with this tire. Reviews appear to be favorable and the tire is a 10-ply, maintaining an E load rating. I don't think I'll need spacers, which would be good too. Truck will have a 2" leveling spring spacers installed next week.

Any thoughts??

Nah, haven't towed with it yet (only had a month), but expect to tow light only, 7000 lbs or less and mostly short hauls.

I agree that they should look awesome, but I was actually looking for feedback on the performance and driveability, treadlife, etc. of the Swamper SSR

I had 35x12.50s on an F250 and loved them. they have been my favorite tire to date they are just kinda price.

IMO, I would go ahead and fork out the extra $ and get spacers and run 12.50s, it will look that much better.

Seems like 12.50's would be too wide for a 6" wheel?? At least I think the stock wheel is 17" x 6"

i have 35x12.5x17 swampers on mine with a 1.5'' spacer

I ran the SSRs 35x12.50x15 on my offroad Jeep TJ for around 2 years.
Great tires on loose gravel roads,good in deep mud as the tread lugs clean under high rpms,not so great on slick rock climbs,but however done great on almost straight up hill climbs.That TJ made climbs that no one ever made."BUT" I had a big Hesco stroker motor in it.Only problems I had with the tires was on wet,snow,or ice,covered roads.I did a lot of on road driving with the Jeep at that time.Very hard to turn under power,I had a Detroit locker in the front and I had to give it enough gas to make the turn and then let off the fuel and coast around the corner.Outside of that I liked the tires.

As a matter of fact outside of one set GY MTRs that's all I ran on the TJ.Set of tires I really liked by Interco were their 39x13.50x15 IROKs.Mine were the bias ply,but a Bud of mine ran the radials and he had no problem keeping up.

I never towed much weight,except for around a 2000 lb trailer and all my camping gear and dirt bike.The Jeep scaled out at 4650 with me in it.After two years of wear the tread looked very good.[laugh]Except for the scrape marks left by some sharp rocks[laugh]

I bet the 10.5's would look really cool on the rear of the dually. I wonder if the front would wander side to side a bit more with the tall, narrower tire?

Post pics with the ssr's, either size, I bet it will look radical.

Its not ideal but a lot of guys are runnin 12.50s on factory rims, my next set will be 315s or 12.50s

12.5's work fine on a 6" wheel, however tire pressure is critical, also rotate them faithfully.

My 315's are wearing nice, very, very little cupping. I am also way past due for a rotation, just play with your air pressure and see what works best. I run around 55 in the front and 20 in the rears and like I said, it's been working pretty good.

Your really not supposed to put 12.5 on anything under a 8 inch rim due to balancing reasons although it still could be done. Just dont expect great and reliable mileage off of them on a 6 inch rim. Or any warrenty on tread life.

Close to 60k miles on my 315's, and about 20% of tread left. I consider that to be pretty darn good mileage.

I had almost 40K miles on my Interco Trxus M/Ts on my dually. 2" spacers on the rear. I rotated them every now and then though.
