Intake, Ats,cfm??

I like the power gains of the CFM. But will it hold up? Is it PLASTIC??
I know the ATS is aluminum and will hang in there. I'm only worried about
the vibration and flexing over time that might break the CFM unit if it is in fact plastic. Any input would be welcome.

We did the testing on the 3. If you are going to run N2o, I would run the ATS. If not, the CFM is going to be the best choice. Thermoplastic intakes should have no problem lasting 10+ years, even with abuse.

i am thinking about running two stages( 4 nozzles) of water injection for pulling so which one would suit me the best?

Haven't seen a close up view of the CFM+ but does it have a place to hold the dipstick tube?

The CFM with ports only has 3, so I would go ATS. it has 5 or 6, plus bosses for an additional 3. You may want to cut the "wing" off the top to make changing nozzles easier.

The CFM does have a place for the dipstick and it works well except in pre-98.5 trucks.

I've had my CFM+ for about 9 months now, no problems, performas well, and I enjoy low egts, even at wot. Its a composite material, very durable and well capable of the boosts levels a cummins will see. I don't have any regrets with it.

I have a buddy who purchased the blade runner and then sent it off to be extrude honed. He got it back about a week ago and let me tell you it sure looks nice. No casting burrs like in the factory non-modified version. I am considering doing the same.

Oh and he had it dynoed before and after the extrude hone. Picked up 6 horse and 22 lb. ft of torque after extrude honing.

Wow, you would think they'd do that from the factory if there's that much of a change and given the price of the unit....

That "plastic" is a composite material (there are many diff compositions, but assuming it's a good mix) it will last a long time....they make things like airplanes (Boeing 787 over 60% composites), my dot approved dirtbike helmet,.....very tough stuff that can last a long time....wouldnt be too worried about it holding up...

The casting is a sloppy job. For the $300 price tag, you would think it would be very clean and smooth.

Before I installed mine I did clean up the runners a tad, nothing major, just took the burs off the runners.

I have the CFM+, seems well made and should last a long time.....It makes great power off idle.

I to have not looked back on my CFM+ the low end is great! I was hoping to be able to notice it driving, its more than i expected. Drop in cruising egt's for sure also.
