Installing straight pipe...need some help
I have taken off my stock exhaust (04.5 w/cat and muffler) and have a full replacement exhaust of an '06 5.9 (been straight piped with no cat or muffler). Just wondering if it is possible to get this thing in there without either cutting out the whole floorboard or dropping the transfer case!
I cannot get the flange area of the exhaust past the bottom of the cab!!! BTW, the truck is a quad-cab shortbed.

Drop the transmission and transfer case brackets...(support the tranny) roll the tip end until the end of the exhaust is in place. Push the turbo end up and around the tranny housing (tolerances are close, but workable) then replace all supports....
