Installing CD player
I have installe a new cd player in my truck. But the speakers won't play anything. The truck had an aftermarket cd player in it when i bought it and aftermarket speakers that worked fine (until now). The cd player works and plays when i take the wires straight from the back of the cd player and hook them to a speaker but they don't work through the factory harness any more. Somone please help

Had the same issue
I installed a cd player, had the same problem, called the radio manufacturer and they told me I had to plug the power amd wire up. My dodge 01' has a built in power amp that you don't see when removing the radio, I think it's a blue wire but not sure, check the wiring diagram for the radio and it should be the remote amp power.

Just installed my new Pioneer Monday night - the BLUE wire needs to be connected to the amplifier switch (probably blue and white) wire coming out of the new stereo. It is likely that your truck had the factory Infinity radio which, as stated above, has a factory amp. No power to the blue wire means the factory amp stays off and you get no sound... Good luck.

If you had the factory Infinity system, you need either a special wiring harness to use the self-amp'ed speakers or run your wires directly to the speakers or through your own amp and to the speakers....
