Just extend your stock wires back to the frame rail. Follow the inlet line from the fuel filter bowl back to the tank and cut the line. Be prepared to cuss a swear. There is not much room there and the lines are stiff. Not that bad of a job, but not much room there.

Can I PLEASE persuade you not to run a holley blue? Thats absolutely one of the worst pieces of advice floating around on this forum. Makes me sick every time I see a post advocating those pieces of junk. I personally went through 4 of them in 6 months which resulted in my VP44 going bad. Before those who claim to successfully run holley blue's jump on a bandwagon and flame me....please know it isnt just me that has had terrible luck. I can give you the names of at least 2 other members on this board (and 2 others who arent members) who have had the same luck as me with multiple multiple multiple failures. These junkers were never made to pump diesel and come with a 90 day warranty which should tell you a little something. They make the perfect pressure and flow plenty while they last but save yourself the headache and go with at least a Fass HPFP, DDRP , or an AirDog!

I went through 2 lps in about six months of buying my truck. It hurt the VP44 went from about 17 mi per gal to 12. Installed a FASS 150/95 and haven't had a single problem with fuel up to the vp44 the past 2 years. The vp44 is still only 12mi per gal damage can't be reversed but hasn't got worse. Fuel pressure hasn't been below 11 and idles at 14. Bought the truck used with 190,000 and has about 250,000 now.

Just some info for you to think about.

Rich

I just installed a FASS DDRP fuel pump about 2 weeks ago and i love it I haven't been able to pull it below 7psi. thats going up a hill about 6000lbs. trailer with my foot to the floor love it. idles at 14 psi. runs about 9-10psi. normal driving conditions. and best of all only about $250. installs in about 1/2hour using stock location on the engine block
