Installed the new turbo tonite
Put the new HTT series 72 in tonite. Ended up just taking the manifold off. Who ever designed that bracket for the heater core hose should get the blindfold and cigarette treatment. geeez what a PITA. Sure sounds good and spools pretty fast. My boost is a little lower than with the stock turbo. Was at35, now31 or 32. Is this common with bigger turbos. Egts are sure better.

when you take a small stock turbo and overspeed it to generate more boost, you are creating hot air. hotter air expands and takes up volume. your new turbo will flow considerably more CFM at lower boost pressures, cooler air is denser air. It is normal to see less pressure but more power with a bigger turbo that is efficient in the pressure range you are running. you should be able to crank in the boost elbow, clockwise on the allen screw to increase boost.

diablo predator stack isnt enough fuel? i could spool my turbo to full pressure with just a quad race. I know when my turbo was delivered, the bolt elbow was backed off from II to be on the safe side.
But I am still learning.
