Installed GFS 392 This Weekend

I just installed the GFS 392 Performance Fuel System this weekend from GDP. I have to say that this is a quality kit. Everything you need along with good instructions. I was trying to decide what fuel/lift pump system to go with and I'm glad I went with the GDP system. My FP went from 5 psi stock to a steady 18 psi at the CP3 and when I tried to suck it down it wouldn't go lower than 13-15 psi. Install was pretty easy and I had no leaks on the first try. I would recommend this system to anyone looking to upgrade their fuel system. As a side note, I even think it made my truck run better, I don't know, maybe its my imagenation????

I have been told that the fuel systems feed the CP3 what it should be getting stock. I hate hearing that the stealerships are under feeding these systems causing premature failure. Not to mention adding substandard parts I.E. Lift pumps!!!!!! My GDP will be coming soon!

Shakin,
I would definately consider getting it soon, if anything it will give you piece of mind knowing that the cp3 is getting what it needs to do the job when the smarty is turned up and you have your foot in it....

Planning to get the 392 in two months.

BTW, did you also install the 2 micron filtration kit? And the strainer?

So if you can do regular car maintainence and repair a two stroke motorcycles top end, should you be able to install the GDP 392 in an 04?

Im just trying to see how easy it was to install? If I followed the instructions should it be pretty easy? And what tools are needed? Any irregular ones?

Boss,
You can download the instructions from here. Seems pretty straight forward.

MB,
I just used the strainer that GDP recommended with the kit. The price is on their website...

Boss,
Its a pretty easy install, the only thing I had to buy to put it in was a small tube cutter for the fuel line. I know you can do it.....

well, even though that is cheaper, I wouldnt know if all the parts are the same quality as the GDP. Plus I am glad to help out the DTR store, as I had never talked to Larry, nice guy. He only sells parts on here to help keep the site running, and Im all for that!
