Install boost elbow????????

I am installing my new edge juice w/attitude tomorrow and am wondering if i should install the elbow that allows for boost pressures of over 20 psi. I dont quite understand the negative/positive enough to make a decision. I know that too much boost is bad and i also know that you can get a lot more power with more boost. Has anyone had a negative experiance with this mod? Thank you for all of the help.

If you plan on going over, say, level 2, put it on. Too much boost is bad, but you should never get that high with it. The purpose for the boost elbow is to increase the air since you are increasing the fuel. The juice is meant to work as a system so just installing the module w/o the boost elbow will not give the same amount of performance.

Ok. I Figured That But Was Thrown Off By Edges Statement That It Will Perform Great Either Way. It Does Make Sense, More Fuel Would Require More Air For Proper Combustion And Not Just Wasted Fuel. Thank You For Your Help.

I recommend putting it on. With the increase in fuel will also increase the EGTs. And more air will help bring the EGTs back down. Try to keep the boost below 35psi for reliability (turbo).

My elbow off the shelf will not let me get past about 32psi. Going from 22.5psi to 32.5 psi made as much difference as the edge unit itself did.
make the change,
tom

will lower the egt's if its not to far out of the turbos perimeters. we know for fact that the 03's will start super heating the air around 35 psi or so. which is the same as dumping less air in as the heated air will have less oxygen molecules in it. not to mention that to create this psi you are overspeeding the turbo. just think it take x rpm to make 20 psi with the small turbo we have, how much more rpm to get the extra psi it is a lot. almost twice the rpm in mine @ 42 psi., with the stock turbo.
