Inlet thread size on Filter Canister

I'm looking for the tread size/pitch on the canister. I'm collecting all my AN fittings and i need one to adapt from -6 to the canister but I'm not sure if its going to end up being an o-ring fitting or a pipe thread fitting.

Thanks,
Brendan

M12x1.50 no o-ring needed, use thread compound.

Usually a sealing washer is used. Less messy than sealing compound.

With Glacier fittings I use the sealing washers, with Earl's fittings I use thread compound.

I'd recommend an ORB fitting if possible. Avoid sealing compounds if possible-- they aren't as bad as teflon tape, but they are still good to avoid.

O-rings are generally the best option to pursue if it's a choice you have.

STORM fittings will seal better than banjos and you don't have the hassle of fuel contamination (tape or goop) or lost washers.

It's not like I'm a fuel system engineer for Cummins or anything.

Wait-- I actually am

That was for you, Don

Put a Cummins logo on a guy's paycheck and he think he's an expert.

I knew you and Don would make good buddies.

I've talked with Don on the phone and he's a real nice guy FWIW... He didn't even get mad when we returned his "books" in a different configuration after he sent them to us. Thanks for those by the way. I'm enjoying my copies.

Glad you and Brian were happy with the "info", hope to get down there in October. Even though I am a fan of sarcastic rhetoric, I don't think I will be receiving a Christmas Card.

I hope it works out so you can make it, it's always a good time for everyone. We'll make Brian buy the beer.

You guys crack me up! I am fan of sarcasm too-- I think Don and I are in some ways birds of a feather. Well, with the minor exception that he knows a ton more than me, but aside from that little trifle.....
